A Daedalus class starship, the USS Hunter (NCC 177) was comissioned in 2163. The class was the first to be comissioned for the newly established Starfleet, consisting of races from Earth, Vulcan, Andor, Tellar and Alpha Centauri. The ground-breaking ships would pave the way for future exploration aboard the wide-varying classes of starship in operation in the 24th century.

The first to bare the name, Hunter, the ship is currently commanded by Captain Huke Williams.

The Hunter - 177, was exploring space long before the Delta Wormhole was discovered and as such, as little connection to the Fleet. However, she bares the name of the flagship and does have a few connections to the quadrant in her missions.
